🌍 Italy · Belgian Tripel · One of 31 Belgian Tripels in hopIQ

Italy's only Trappist beer — brewed by Cistercian monks at Rome's Abbey of the Three Fountains since 2015 under the Authentic Trappist Product label. A strong golden Tripel with the unique addition of eucalyptus leaves grown within the abbey grounds, imparting a subtle herbal freshness found in no other Trappist beer on earth. Ripe fruit, honey, and gentle spice on the nose; full and rounded on the palate with a dry, clean finish and a warming alcoholic depth. The only one of its kind in the Mediterranean world.

Serve at 10–13°C in a goblet. The yeast character and carbonation are the stars — cold would suppress both.

Goblet
Recommended for this style

The wide mouth and heavy base promote head formation and channel rich aromatics toward the nose. Traditional for Belgian strong ales.

Drink within 2 years. Some complexity develops with age but the yeast character is best relatively fresh.
