Plymouth Porter

Tap to rate

A dark porter brewed with crystal, chocolate and black malt plus roasted barley. The flavour is full and rich, with chocolate to the fore. It began as a November seasonal, found a following and has been brewed regularly under its present name since 2018. At its relaunch the brewery gave a share of every pint sold to a prostate cancer charity. It is available cask-conditioned and bottle-conditioned at 5.0%.

Serve at 10–13°C

Serve at 10–13°C. Too cold mutes the roasted complexity that makes a good porter worth drinking slowly.

Pint glass

The classic — versatile, comfortable to hold and keeps the beer cool. No frills, no distractions: just the beer.

Drink within 6–12 months for best results. Baltic Porters can be aged longer.
