24 Double is a very strong dark special beer of 10.5 %, brewed from 24 degrees of original gravity and produced since 1999. Pilsner, wheat, Munich, caramel and colour malts give a dark garnet colour and a dense, sweet body. Caramel, dried plums and chocolate dominate aroma and palate, joined by syrupy toffee and warming alcohol, while Saaz and Sládek hops leave only a subtle bitterness. The brewery itself calls it difficult to place in any single beer category.
