Tap to rate
🌍 Italy · New England IPA · One of 81 New England IPAs in hopIQ

Named after the great Po Plain that stretches across northern Italy — CRAK's New England IPA is as opaque as morning mist over the Veneto flatlands. Double dry-hopped Vermont-style with a creamy mouthfeel, imperceptible bitterness and an explosive tropical and citrus aroma. Hoppy like a DIPA but drinkable like a session beer — CRAK's most accessible expression of their DDH philosophy.

Aroma

Explosive tropical and citrus character dominates, with distinct notes of mango, passionfruit, and grapefruit rind. The double dry-hop layering creates a juicy, aromatic profile without harsh green herbal notes. A clean, neutral yeast backdrop allows the hop expression to shine.

Taste

Creamy, full mouthfeel enters with bright citrus and stone fruit flavours that build across the mid-palate. The bitterness remains imperceptible despite the 45 IBU, with the hop character staying fruity and juicy rather than resinous. Finishes dry and refreshing, bridging DIPA intensity with session-beer drinkability.
