Sokolovská Desítka

Tap to rate

Sokolovská Desítka is Permon's light výčepní lager, the Czech draught style, here also in cans. Its recipe was reworked: a mash on two decoctions, an extra-pale malt base and more generous hopping with Žatec Red semi-early hops for aroma and Sládek for bitterness. The brewery describes a balanced bitterness and a medium crispness. It ferments in the classic way in open vessels at the brewery in Sokolov.

◐ Taste

The palate opens crisp and light, with the two-decoction mash providing a soft, grainy foundation. Hoppy bitterness from the Sládek variety arrives mid-palate with restrained intensity, lending structure without dominating. The finish is dry and bitter-forward, with enough acidity to sustain interest without harshness.

◑ Finish

Medium-length aftertaste dominated by hoppy bitterness and a lingering dryness. The light body allows quick dissipation, inviting another sip rather than lingering heavily on the palate.
