Hoppiness

Tap to rate

Hoppiness looks back to the early West Coast IPAs, and its name plays on the word happiness. Pine and grapefruit set the tone: Columbus and Chinook supply dank resin, while Citra, Eclipse and Azacca add layers of citrus. The beer pours crystal clear and is firmly bitter. At 6.5 % it is the second strongest of Moor's core range. It has long been part of the line-up and comes in 440 ml cans and on cask.

◐ Taste

The palate enters clean and bitter, with resinous hop character taking immediate precedence. Mid-palate develops citrus complexity—candied orange and bitter grapefruit—while the Malz foundation offers a light sweetness that keeps the beer balanced. The 60 IBU bitterness is firm and sustained, never harsh, fading into a dry, lingering finish.
