◎ Appearance

Swami's presents a pale golden hue with excellent clarity and bright transparency. The head forms a tight, fine foam that clings to the glass with good retention, leaving delicate lacing on the side walls. Carbonation is moderate and well-integrated, lending a lively visual presence without appearing aggressive.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with bright grapefruit and orange peel character from the Citra and Cascade hops, supported by a distinctive resinous pine backbone. Beneath the citrus sits a dank, herbal edge—earthy and slightly green—that speaks to the Chinook and CTZ contribution. The malt base remains restrained and clean, offering only a whisper of light breadiness without sweet overlay.

◐ Taste

Entry is crisp and direct, with the citrus and pine themes from the aroma translating cleanly to the palate. The mid-palate builds a firm, clean bitterness that sits squarely in the West Coast tradition—assertive but not harsh—while the lean, lightly bready malt foundation provides just enough body to frame the hop character without muddying it. The 72 IBU lands with precision, neither overwhelming nor retreating.

◑ Finish

The finish dries out cleanly and crisply, with the bitterness lingering in a refreshing rather than cloying manner. No residual sweetness intrudes; the aftertaste fades to a pleasant, herbaceous echo of the Simcoe and pine notes.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
