◎ Appearance

Clear amber gold with a thin, delicate head that recedes quickly. The body is translucent and bright, showing excellent clarity typical of a well-made West Coast IPA. Carbonation is moderate, producing fine bubbles that drift lazily through the glass.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with resinous pine and grapefruit pith—a signature combination of Centennial and Simcoe hops. Beneath lies a sharp herbal dankness with hints of orange peel and a supporting note of light biscuit from the Golden Promise malt. The aromatics are direct and uncluttered, refusing to soften.

◐ Taste

Bitterness dominates from entry through mid-palate with an aggressive, dry quality. The lean body carries a light biscuity sweetness from the malt, which is quickly overwhelmed by the sharp hoppy bite. Resinous and piney character builds, accompanied by citrus pith and a persistent herbal edge that refuses to fade.

◑ Finish

The finish is prolonged and intensely dry, with lingering pine resin and herbal bitterness that stretches long into the aftertaste. No sweetness intrudes; the dryness is the point, leaving the palate scoured and engaged.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
