A dense, tan head forms on the pour and clings persistently to the glass, leaving distinct lacing as the beer is consumed. Carbonation appears moderate, appropriate for the style's full body.

◌ Aroma

Fresh-ground coffee dominates the nose, rising immediately with an inviting intensity. Beneath the coffee lies dark chocolate and roasted grain, underpinned by a subtle caramel sweetness from the malt. The alcohol warmth is detectable but does not overshadow the primary coffee and chocolate character.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with bold coffee and roasted malt flavors that establish the beer's character immediately. Dark chocolate and a gentle caramel note follow, providing balance against the pronounced roast. Moderate bitterness from both the 45 IBU and the inherent roast compounds finishes cleanly without harshness, while the 10.5% ABV manifests as subtle warmth rather than alcohol burn.

The finish is long and distinctly roasty, with coffee and roasted grain lingering on the palate. A dry, slightly warming aftertaste persists, leaving the mouth clean but with a pronounced roast character.

Serve at 10–13°C. Too cold mutes the roasted complexity that makes a good porter worth drinking slowly.
