Mallorca Beer Co DIPA

Tap to rate

An explosion of American hops: citrus, resinous and floral aromas over a slight malt scent, then citrus, tropical and resinous flavours, an intense bitterness and a dry finish. It is the stronger, more intense version of the brewery's India Pale Ale, dark gold, slightly cloudy from yeast in suspension and topped with persistent white foam. Cascade, Columbus and Chinook provide the hops, and its label was designed with Alcúdia illustrator Timothy Llompart.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with immediate citrus and tropical fruit flavors—orange, pineapple, and pine resins—followed by a sustained and intense bitterness that builds through the mid-palate. The malt backbone is modest but sufficient, offering a touch of sweetness that balances without obscuring the hop-driven character. The body is clean and medium, allowing the bitterness to dominate.
