Malheur 12
Dark brown under a café-latte foam and 11.5% strong, built on a malty, grainy base that recalls fresh-cut bread, with dark chocolate, rum-soaked raisins and a bouquet of hop flowers in the nose. Full and round with a hint of sweetness, yet dry and coffee-bitter, with nuts, honey and rum from the brown candy sugar and a fruity touch of banana. The finish is bitter-sweet, long and warm. Malheur's head brewer says the same ale goes on to become the Dark Brut.
