Reckless Wanderer

Tap to rate

Reckless Wanderer layers its hops through every stage: liquid bittering, a light kettle addition of whole-leaf Mosaic, a dip hop of Mosaic Incognito and a full whirlpool charge of Peacharine and Riwaka. In the dry hop Peacharine adds a rich sweetness, Riwaka a burst of lime and grapefruit, and the third variety ties the two together. The finished hazy IPA shows lime, honeydew and ruby red grapefruit, at 6.5% and vegan.

The palate opens softly with stone fruit and melon character before developing a moderate, clean bitterness around the mid-palate. Lime and ruby grapefruit come into focus, balanced by the residual sweetness from the Peacharine dry hop. The 6.5% ABV keeps the beer light and drinkable, allowing the layered hop character to shine without heaviness.
