🌍 Germany · Hefeweizen · One of 197 Hefeweizens in hopIQ

A classic top-fermented Hefeweizen that finishes fermenting in the bottle. After a period of being brewed elsewhere, it is once again made at the Wunderburg brewhouse. It is milky and hazy, straw to pale amber, with a voluminous white head. Clove, white bread and dried banana define the aroma, joined on the palate by citrus fruit and a gently integrated acidity. The body is slim and very lively from the high carbonation, and a slightly nutty, grainy note appears towards the end of a fresh, mildly spicy finish.

Serve & Enjoy

How to get the most out of Keesmann Weisse

Serve at 5–8°C
Refrigerate, then rest 2 min

Slightly warmer than a lager — 8–12°C allows the banana and clove esters from the yeast to fully develop.

Weizen glass
Recommended for this style

Tall and narrow at the base, flaring at the top — designed to hold the abundant foam of a wheat beer while showcasing its hazy golden body.

Best fresh. The yeast-driven banana and clove character fades over time. Drink within 4 months.
