It is deep gold to light amber, slightly darker than the autumn Bock, with a creamy white head. The aroma is richly malty with honey and bready notes, underpinned by hops. On the palate it feels fuller and a little more angular than its autumn sibling, with ripe fruit, a faint white-wine-like acidity and more noticeable alcohol. The finish lingers, half dry and half bitter, with hop character showing through.
