Deep amber to brown color with an SRM of 15, presenting a rich and inviting visual presence. The head is substantial and cream-colored, with good retention and lacing that clings to the glass throughout the drinking experience. Clarity is good, with a slight haze typical of the style.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with pronounced caramel and toffee notes from the crystal malt, supported by a subtle roasted barley backbone that adds depth without harshness. Willamette hop character emerges as soft herbal and floral notes, while the oat flakes contribute a gentle grainy sweetness that rounds out the aromatic profile.

◐ Taste

The palate is full-bodied and welcoming, with layered malt complexity that moves from sweet caramel at entry through rich toffee in the mid-palate. A dry roasted edge emerges toward the back, balancing the inherent sweetness and preventing cloying; the oat flakes provide a smooth, slightly viscous mouthfeel. At 7.8% ABV, the alcohol is present as warmth and body, complementing the malty foundation without dominating.

◑ Finish

The finish is moderately long, with roasted and slightly dry notes lingering pleasantly on the palate. A gentle warmth persists, characteristic of the alcohol content and reinforcing the ale's strength.
