◎ Appearance

DDH Pillow presents a dense, hazy golden-yellow body with fine, suspended particulate matter characteristic of the New England style. The head is stable and creamy, clinging to the glass with visible Schaumkleiden. Carbonation is evident but restrained, contributing to the soft, pillowy mouthfeel.

◌ Aroma

The nose is immediately dominated by bright citrus and stone fruit, leading with orange creamsicle and guava on the front. Ripe mango and hints of tropical juice round out the mid-palate aromatics, while a subtle resinous undertone emerges beneath the fruit-forward character. The double dry-hop addition of Citra and Mosaic creates an intensely layered, juicy profile without aggressive greenness.

◐ Taste

The palate unfolds as a smoothie-like blend of tangerine, pineapple and ripe stone fruit, carried over a soft, biscuity malt base that provides gentle sweetness and body without heaviness. The resinous character present in the aroma translates to a light, clean bitterness on the mid-palate—restrained despite the 60 IBU rating, allowing fruit notes to remain center stage. The malt framework is approachable and round, never assertive.

◑ Finish

The finish is clean and drying, with the resinous bite lingering briefly before fading into residual tropical fruit sweetness. Alcohol warmth is barely perceptible at 8%, allowing the beer to remain refreshingly quaffable rather than warming.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
