◎ Appearance

Sunsplit pours pale gold with a distinctly hazy, opaque presentation characteristic of the style. The cloudiness derives from suspended yeast and grain proteins, creating a soft, diffuse appearance. A modest white head forms and retains fair lacing around the glass, while the body shows active carbonation.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with bright tropical and stone-fruit character: mango and passion fruit dominate, followed by grapefruit and orange peel. Beneath these fruity notes lies a resinous, herbal backbone from Citra and Amarillo hops. Soft grain sweetness and a hint of creamy oat round out the bouquet without masking the hop-driven profile.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with the promised creamy, full malt sweetness from flaked oats, which rounds and softens the hop character rather than creating sharp bitterness. Citrus and stone-fruit flavors carry through the mid-palate, with orange and subtle peach notes building alongside the resinous hop structure. The balance favors approachability over aggression, with residual sweetness supporting a dry, lingering finish.

The finish extends with fruity yeast character adding a light peach note that persists into the aftertaste. Dryness emerges gradually, leaving a clean, slightly resinous impression without harshness.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
