Amber-brown hue with substantial depth, presenting a warm, inviting clarity. The creamy head rises generously and clings to the glass with lasting retention, building a fine network of lacing as the beer is consumed. Carbonation is moderate and well-integrated, supporting the dense foam.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with pronounced caramel sweetness and dark fruit esters—plum and raisin dominate. Subtle roasted malt and toasty notes emerge in the background, anchoring the aromatic profile with gentle warmth. The alcohol is present but restrained, adding a soft spice without harshness.

◐ Taste

The palate enters with rich caramel sweetness and dark fruit character, immediately filling the mouth with full body and creamy texture. Mid-palate reveals layered malty depth—toasted grain and subtle roasted undertones balance the residual sweetness. Bitterness remains low and supportive at 22 IBU, allowing the malt-driven character to remain the focal point throughout.

◑ Finish

The finish is warm and lingering, with residual caramel and dark fruit notes fading gradually into a gentle roasted aftertaste. The moderate alcohol presence adds a soft, boozy warmth that extends the experience without becoming harsh or intrusive.

Serve at 10–12°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The wide mouth and heavy base promote head formation and channel rich aromatics toward the nose. Traditional for Belgian strong ales.
