Oude Schaarbeekse Kriek Boon

Tap to rate

An intense, wine-like aroma of ripe fruit, oak and vanilla, a very intense but balanced cherry character and the gentle tartness of lambic, closing mild and round. Each litre gets 250 grams of Schaarbeek cherries, and six more months in oak add depth. The variety once covered the Zenne's eastern banks in the city of Schaarbeek, where lambic brewers bought it at the wholesale market. In 2019 Oude Kriek Boon used it again for the first time since 1989. 6 % ABV.
