Beskydské hořké

Tap to rate

The brewery's IPA and one of the first styles after its opening lager, hopped in several stages. The brewery names the higher strength and this multi-stage hopping as the source of its taste and aroma, which it calls delightfully bitter. Amarillo and Citra join Premiant over Pilsner, Vienna, Munich and caramel malts, 14° Plato.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with pronounced citrus notes from Amarillo and Citra hops, layered with subtle tropical fruit undertones. Supporting these is a gentle resinous character and soft malt backbone from the Pilsner, Vienna, and Munich malts, creating a harmonious balance between hop presence and grain.

◐ Taste

The palate enters with clean hop bitterness and citrus intensity, supported by a malty mid-palate that brings caramel and breadiness from the Munich and caramel malts. At 30 IBU, the bitterness is noticeable but restrained, allowing the hop character and subtle sweetness to integrate naturally with the full body.

Serve at 8–11°C

Serve well-chilled. Session IPAs are at their best cold — the lower ABV means less warmth to balance the hops.

Tulip glass

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.

Drink fresh. Session IPAs are brewed to be consumed young — the hops are at their best now.
