◎ Appearance

Cluster 8 presents a deep, hazy orange body with substantial cloudiness from active yeast suspension. The head forms with moderate density and displays fair retention, leaving fine lacing on the glass as you drink through. Carbonation appears restrained, appropriate to the beer's full-bodied character.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with bright tropical stone fruits—ripe mango and peach—layered beneath citrus notes of grapefruit and pine. A resinous quality underlies the fruit, suggesting the interplay of Galaxy, Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops. Caramel sweetness emerges in the background, evidence of the heavy malt base supporting this imperial strength.

◐ Taste

Entry brings immediate fruity sweetness dominated by mango and peach, with the caramel malt foundation providing weight and adhesive residue on the palate. The mid-palate sustains tropical fruit alongside a building resinous bitterness that becomes increasingly prominent. At 65 IBU, the bitterness cuts through the residual sweetness without erasing it, creating a dynamic tension between opposing poles.

◑ Finish

The finish extends with lingering bitterness and resinous notes that persist well into the aftertaste. Residual caramel sweetness remains, gradually fading as the hop character dominates the final impression.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
