Deep garnet-brown to near-black in the glass, with opaque density characteristic of the Baltic Porter style. A firm, tan foam head forms on the pour and clings persistently to the walls, leaving distinct lacing as the beer is consumed. The body reads full and substantial without cloudiness.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with pronounced roasted malt and caramel sweetness, anchored by dark chocolate and cocoa notes. Subtle undertones of dark fruit—plum and raisin—emerge beneath, while a gentle toastiness and whisper of coffee add complexity. The overall impression is warm and malty, with no sharp hop presence to distract.

◐ Taste

The palate enters smooth and full-bodied, with rich caramel and roasted grain flavors dominating the mid-palate. Dark chocolate and subtle coffee notes provide depth, while a light malty sweetness balances modest bitterness (30 IBU) into a harmonious whole. The alcohol warmth is present but restrained, adding to the comforting profile rather than asserting itself.

The finish is clean and warming, with lingering roasted malt and chocolate notes that fade gradually rather than abruptly. A gentle drying sensation persists without harsh astringency, leaving the palate satisfied and ready for the next sip.

Serve at 10–13°C. Too cold mutes the roasted complexity that makes a good porter worth drinking slowly.
