hopIQ found 10 beers with the same roasted and coffee character as Devon Porter. Devon Porter is a dark, rich porter that drinks more easily than its 5.2% suggests, a strength on the upper side for the style. Bitterness is low and the texture silky, which lets a layered palate come through, one flavour following the next; roasted notes reminiscent of coffee stand out among them. It is sold on cask and as a bottle-conditioned beer, and the cask version took bronze in its category at the SIBA South West regional awards in 2022. Ranked by flavour match rather than popularity.
