Beers similar to Holgate Irish Stout

hopIQ found 10 beers that share Holgate Irish Stout's roasted and coffee character. A dry stout in the Irish manner, served on nitrogen, which is where the dense creamy head and the velvety texture come from. It pours deep brown to black. Roasted malt sets the tone with coffee, dark chocolate and a note of bread crust over a lean body. Sweetness stays low from start to finish, bitterness comes from the roast rather than the hops, and the beer closes dry and toasty rather than rich.
