Heavily hazy canary yellow with a dense, creamy white head that clings persistently to the glass. The opacity is pronounced, typical of the style, with bright light penetrating only shallowly through the body. Fine carbonation maintains steady streams and soft, billowing lacing down the glass.

◌ Aroma

Saturated citrus oils dominate immediately: fresh-squeezed Valencia orange and candied grapefruit peel lead, with pomelo and bright lemon zest layering beneath. A soft pineapple backdrop emerges, honeyed and ripe, underpinned by subtle white bread notes from the Malz. The nose is generous and aromatic without harsh resinous edges.

Entry is juicy and full-bodied, with saturated orange and grapefruit character coating the palate immediately. Mid-palate reveals pineapple purée sweetness balanced against moderate, clean bitterness that builds without becoming aggressive. The mouthfeel is soft and velvety despite the high hop charge—roughly 15 pounds per barrel across three Citra products—creating a paradox of intensity and restraint.
