Deep copper to dark amber, bright and clear with excellent clarity. A dense, lasting head forms and clings to the glass with persistent lacing, demonstrating good protein and hop structure. Carbonation is moderate and evenly distributed, creating a refined foam presentation.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with candied sweetness from Amarillo and Simcoe hops—notes of caramel, honey, and subtle citrus resin. Beneath the hop forward character lies a supporting base of toasted caramel malt. The aromatic profile is warm and inviting, balancing honeyed fruit against emerging herbal and piney undertones.

The palate opens with rich caramel malt sweetness that provides a solid foundation, then the 100 IBU bitterness delivers its counter-punch with resinous, piney hop character. Notably, the perceived bitterness feels restrained—the substantial malt backbone cushions the aggressive IBU number, creating a full-bodied frame where sweetness and bitterness dance rather than clash. Mid-palate shows toasty malt depth with lingering hop bitterness.

The finish is long and increasingly dry, with hop bitterness extending well into the aftertaste. A gentle warmth from the 7.2% ABV lingers without harshness, while resinous hop notes persist on the palate.
