Ambear presents a clear, brilliant amber hue with red undertones characteristic of the style. The head forms with modest density and shows good Schaumhaftung, clinging to the glass in fine lacework. Carbonation appears moderate and well-integrated, supporting a lively but not aggressive bead.

◌ Aroma

East Kent Goldings deliver a restrained spice and earthy character that defines the nose without overwhelming. Subtle caramel and light biscuit notes from the malt base emerge beneath the herbal hop profile, creating a balanced, approachable bouquet. The aromatic profile suggests a beer designed for easy drinking rather than complexity.

Entry is crisp and refreshing, with the malt providing just enough body to frame the bitterness without becoming syrupy or cloying. Mid-palate shows that earthy, slightly spicy hop character alongside subtle caramel sweetness, all in proportion. At 35 IBU, the bitterness is present but gentle, finishing clean rather than assertive.
