◎ Aussehen

Brown in colour with distinct light ruby highlights, presenting an unusual depth for a sour beer. The beer displays a marked haze throughout, characteristic of its style. A modest but stable head forms, with delicate lacing that clings to the glass as the beer is consumed.

◌ Aroma

An intriguing interplay of chocolate and light roast Malz greets the nose, paired unexpectedly with tart red berry notes. The fruited character leans toward boysenberry with darker stone fruit undertones. Sourness is present but restrained in the aroma, allowing the malt and berry to dominate.

◐ Geschmack

The palate opens light and refined despite the darker Malz character. A modest sweetness carries through the mid-palate, balancing the berry tartness without cloying. Bitterness remains deliberately muted, allowing the sour and fruit notes to take centre stage with a clean, dry finish.

◑ Abgang

The finish is tangy and clean, with the sourness asserting itself clearly as the beer fades. Aftertaste is brief and refreshing, leaving berry tartness rather than lingering sweetness.
