Deep black color with opaque density, characteristic of the Schwarzbier style. A dense, persistent tan head builds with a pour and maintains fine Schaumhaftung down the glass. The carbonation appears moderate and well-integrated, lending subtle liveliness without aggressive effervescence.

The nose leads with roasted malt character: dark bread crust, toasted grain, and a gentle coffee note provide the foundation. Beneath this roast profile sits a subtle cocoa undertone and a whisper of caramel sweetness, creating a layered, malt-driven bouquet. Noble hop presence is restrained, allowing the roasted complexity to dominate without harshness.

Entry is clean and medium-light on the palate, with gentle roast providing texture without heaviness. Mid-palate introduces dark chocolate and soft caramel notes, balancing the dry roasted grain with subtle sweetness. The finish arrives crisp and clean, with restrained bitterness (18 IBU) that clears the roast quickly and prevents any lingering harshness.
