Lightness Illusion presents a hazy, golden-amber pour with excellent clarity despite the suspended yeast and hop particles characteristic of the style. A soft, pillowy white head forms and maintains good retention, settling into fine lacing along the glass. The body carries moderate carbonation, lending a gentle effervescence to the visual presentation.

◌ Aroma

The nose is immediately inviting, dominated by ripe tropical stone fruit — prominent mango and peach notes layered with bright citrus, particularly zesty grapefruit. Beneath the fruit sits a subtle, doughy malt foundation that grounds the composition without competing. A gentle resinous quality edges through, hinting at the hop character to follow.

◐ Geschmack

The palate opens with a lush, creamy mouthfeel that belies the beer's 8% ABV. Waves of peach and stone fruit continue through the mid-palate, accompanied by pine resin and a measured pine bitterness that never overwhelms. The restrained but present 80 IBU provides balance, allowing the fruit character and creamy body to remain prominent without harshness.

The finish is lengthy and warm, with the hop character — both floral and resinous — lingering pleasantly into the aftertaste. A gentle herbal dryness emerges without becoming astringent, completing the beer's seamless balance.
