Deep amber to light copper in color, with good clarity and a modest white head that shows solid retention and lacing. The beer displays bright reflectivity, typical of a well-crafted barleywine with moderate carbonation evident in steady bubble trails.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with caramelized sugar and toffee notes, followed by dried apricot and a subtle fruity character reminiscent of banana. Behind these sits citrus peel from the Cascade hop, while the pale malt base provides a clean, slightly sweet foundation without dominating the aromatic profile.

◐ Geschmack

The palate opens with pleasant sweetness from caramel and malt, balanced by moderate bitterness from the Magnum and Nugget additions. The mid-palate reveals layers of dried fruit and toffee, with restrained citrus notes adding complexity. Bitterness remains measured at 50 IBU, allowing malt character to dominate without becoming cloying.
