◎ Aussehen

Opaque black color with minimal light transmission, characteristic of a fully roasted imperial stout. A tan head forms with moderate density and settles to a thin collar with fair Schaumhaftung down the glass. Carbonation appears restrained, appropriate to the full body and warming alcohol character.

◌ Aroma

The nose is dominated by roasted malt and dark roast coffee, with secondary notes of dark chocolate and cocoa powder. Underneath lies a subtle earthy character and suggestions of dark stone fruit. The 10% ABV registers as warmth rather than sharp alcohol volatility, integrating into the overall aromatic profile.

◐ Geschmack

The palate enters with bitter roasted grain and black coffee flavors that build through the mid-palate into a full, satisfying body. Chocolate and cocoa notes provide sweetness and texture, while the 65 IBU bitterness remains assertive without becoming harsh. The alcohol warmth supports rather than dominates, creating a smooth, integrated drinking experience despite the high ABV.

◑ Abgang

The finish is long and dry, with roasted bitterness and coffee lingering on the palate. A subtle warming sensation persists, characteristic of the 10% ABV strength.

Etwas wärmer als erwartet. 10–13°C lässt die gerösteten Malz-, Schokoladen- und Kaffeenoten vollständig entfalten.
