The nose leads with roasted coffee and dark chocolate, grounded in deep malt character. Dark fruit esters emerge beneath—plum and blackberry—while a toasted grain backbone adds warmth. The alcohol is integrated and not sharp, allowing the roasted and chocolate notes to dominate without harshness.

The palate is full-bodied and assertive from the first sip. Coffee and chocolate flavors develop richly on the mid-palate, accompanied by subtle dark fruit complexity. Bitterness arrives with authority—65 IBUs present themselves cleanly—and dries the finish without becoming harsh or astringent. The 9.1% ABV provides warmth that integrates rather than dominates.
