From the outset it built its identity on the pure mountain water of the Dachstein-Tauern region. In 1988 it joined the Brau AG and thus later Brau Union Österreich, which since 2003 has been part of Heineken. Brewing operations at the Schladming site ceased in 2001; the beers are now brewed in Göss and Wieselburg, using the same Alpine mountain water as before.
