O Brother Brewing
O Brother Brewing was launched in 2014 by the brothers Barry, Brian and Paddy O'Neill from Bray, in a small industrial unit in Kilcoole, County Wicklow. In 2024 the brewery moved to Belmont Demesne, an estate between Greystones and Bray, where it now runs a taproom and beer garden beside the brewhouse. A core range of four year-round beers, a pale ale, a session IPA, an IPA and a milk stout, is joined by seasonal and limited releases, and the can labels are designed with Irish artists. A funding round has since brought outside investors into the family-founded company.

How we measure this
Two thresholds are at work here:
- The signature list shows notes that recur in at least 6% of this brewery's beers. A low bar — enough to flag a pattern, not high enough to call it an exclusive trait.
- The peer comparison below shows only notes where this brewery's coverage differs from similar breweries by at least 20 percentage points. A higher bar — enough to call a real difference, not a nudge.
A note can appear on the signature list without appearing in the peer comparison: it recurs here, but similar breweries do the same thing.
Bookends
Their beers place in the Top 55% of the catalogue on average, across 9 ranked beers. Consistent rather than spiky — no single standout carrying the rest.
