Tramcar

Tap to rate

Tramcar is an IPA first released in 2022 and named after the Llandudno tram, which carries visitors from the town to the summit of the Great Orme. The brewery describes a bold beer that balances overripe tropical fruit and resinous pine ahead of a firm bitter finish. Ripe fruit leads, the pine note adds a dry, sappy edge, and the bitterness holds through the close. It is brewed at 6.5% and left unfiltered and unpasteurised.

◐ Taste

Entry brings forward the promised tropical fruit character, with a juicy stone-fruit sweetness that unfolds across the palate. Mid-palate introduces the pine and sappy resin, creating a dry, gripping sensation that builds gradually. A firm, lingering bitterness emerges in the finish, well-integrated rather than harsh, with a slightly spicy, herbal edge.

Serve at 8–11°C

Serve well-chilled. Session IPAs are at their best cold — the lower ABV means less warmth to balance the hops.

Tulip glass

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.

Drink fresh. Session IPAs are brewed to be consumed young — the hops are at their best now.
