🌍 Canada · Lager · One of 149 Lagers in hopIQ

A salted lime lager at 4 percent, built on an ultra-crisp base of barley and flaked corn with a hint of salt — chosen so that lime aroma and flavour carry through a very light body. It pours pale gold and clear under a small white head. Sea salt and lime lead the nose, and the lime dominates through the drink, with the salt running underneath rather than across it. Medium body, easy and refreshing. The current menu drops the salt from the ingredient line while keeping it in the style name.

Aroma

Sea salt and lime lead the nose in immediate harmony, with the citrus note cutting through cleanly. The ultra-light Malz base provides a subtle barley sweetness that frames rather than dominates the aromatic profile. Flaked corn contributes a soft, neutral backdrop that allows the lime and salt to project forward.

Taste

Lime dominates the palate with bright, juicy character from entry through mid-palate, while sea salt runs underneath as a supporting mineral thread rather than an overt flavor. The light body and flaked corn adjunct keep the drink exceptionally smooth and easy-drinking, with virtually no hop bitterness to intrude. Clean finish with lime fade.

About Lager

Style guide · what to expect · how to find alternatives

What is a Lager?

Euro Pale Lagers are clean, refreshing lagers with 4–5.5% ABV and IBU 10–25. Soft malt sweetness, light hop bitterness and high carbonation make them supremely drinkable.

Finding a similar Lager

hopIQ matches by flavor profile — not just style label. A beer with the same crisp, citrusy, light character as Brewchacho' will score highly even if brewed in a different country or under a different sub-style name.
