Sucker Punch Double IPA

◎ Appearance

Medium golden hue with excellent clarity and bright translucency. Fine white head forms with good initial retention and distinct lacing that clings to the glass throughout drinking. Carbonation is crisp and visible, characteristic of a well-attenuated West Coast IPA.

◌ Aroma

The nose is assertively hoppy with pronounced pine and citrus notes that dominate immediately. Resinous and dank undertones emerge, with a mineral-herbaceous character that recalls noble hop varieties. Malt contributes only the barest supportive note—this is unambiguously a hop-driven beer with no sweetness to mask the Edelhopfen profile.

◐ Taste

Entry is crisp and dry, the 90 IBU landing firmly across the palate with a lean, unforgiving bitterness. Mid-palate shows layered hop character—piney resins and citrus zest—over a thin malt base that refuses to cushion the bite. The finish is bone-dry with a lingering bitter grip that reinforces the beer's uncompromising philosophy.

◑ Finish

Bitterness persists with impressive length, fading slowly to a dry, mineral aftertaste. The alcohol warmth (8.1%) becomes subtly apparent in the final moments, reinforcing the beer's weight without masking the hop character.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
