◎ Appearance

Light amber to pale gold in color, displaying the characteristic hue of a well-attenuated Double IPA. The beer presents excellent clarity with a bright, inviting appearance. A thick, creamy head forms readily and maintains strong lacing throughout the glass, indicating vigorous carbonation and good protein structure from the assertive grain bill.

◌ Aroma

The nose is immediately dominated by aggressive Simcoe and Amarillo hop expression, delivering a bold cascade of tropical stone fruit, citrus zest, and resinous pine. Beneath the hop intensity lies a clean, slightly grainy Malz foundation that supports without competing. The alcohol warmth becomes perceptible on sustained nosing, adding depth to an otherwise hop-forward aromatic profile.

◐ Taste

The entry is full and warming, with a substantial malt body providing a sturdy platform for the hop assault. The mid-palate presents a complex interplay of orange marmalade, grapefruit, and white pepper from the dual hop additions, building toward a pronounced drying bitterness that lingers assertively. At 80 IBU, the bitter charge is substantial but balanced by residual sweetness, allowing the resinous, piney character to develop fully across the palate.

◑ Finish

The finish is long and dry, with resinous hop bitterness persisting well into the aftertaste. A subtle heat from the 8.6% ABV lingers, reinforcing the beer's warming, assertive character without becoming harsh or overly alcoholic.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
