Wandle

Tap to rate

Sweet, nutty malts meet a light, spicy bitterness that lingers delicately in this golden best bitter. Wandle was the first beer Sambrook's brewed, in 2008, and takes its name from the river beside the Wandsworth brewhouse. Pale and crystal malt, Goldings, Fuggles and Boadicea hops and the brewery's own yeast strain make a regular cask ale at 3.8% (4.2% in the bottle) that won joint Bronze in the Bitter category at the 2014 Champion Beer of Britain.
