Lusty Newton Stout

Tap to rate

A dry Irish-style stout at 5.3%, an old Redwell favourite that came back with a reworked recipe and a higher strength. Extra caramel malt joins brown, chocolate and wheat malt in the mash and adds body and a bittersweet toffee note; Cascade is the only hop. Coffee, dark chocolate and a hint of tobacco shape the aroma; the palate is smooth and roasted, coffee to the fore. It is more carbonated than nitrogen-poured stouts, which keeps it refreshing. In kegs and cans.
