🌍 Germany · Helles Lager · One of 253 Helles Lagers in hopIQ

Named after Guidobald Graf von Thun, the Salzburg archbishop the brewery regards as founder of the former court brewhouse in Teisendorf. This pale lager at export strength is brewed from light and dark barley malt with Spalter aroma hops at 12.8 °P. It is bright golden and fuller in body than the house Helles. Sweetish malt with a hint of bread crust is set against a floral, lightly herbal hop character, and the bitterness is rounded rather than sharp. The even balance between the two sides defines the beer.
