14° Silné pivo

Tap to rate

A pale strong beer with the right bitterness and a surprising lightness. It starts calm and unpushy, then shows a second layer of flavour that comes out with later sips. Brewed at 14° original gravity with traditional technology and a base derived from Czech lagers, but with more hops and more alcohol. The brewery was already exporting its strong beers across Europe in the days of Emperor Franz Joseph.

◐ Taste

The palate opens soft and approachable, allowing the drinker to discover its complexity only as it develops on the tongue. Hoppy bitterness (40 IBU) asserts itself progressively without dominating, balanced by a clean, crisp malt sweetness and a surprising smoothness for its strength. The second layer of flavor emerges mid-palate—caramel notes and a gentle warming alcohol presence create depth that distinguishes this from lighter pale lagers.

◑ Finish

The finish is clean and moderately long, with lingering hop bitterness fading into a crisp, dry aftertaste. Despite the 6% ABV, the alcohol remains gracefully integrated, leaving a pleasant warmth rather than harsh burn.
