Partizan Porter

◎ Appearance

A deep ruby-garnet hue with an opaque quality that speaks to the beer's roasted character. The dense head forms with good retention, leaving distinct lacing along the glass as it settles. The body appears full and rich without opacity from suspended matter.

◌ Aroma

Roasted barley and coffee grounds dominate the nose, paired with warm notes of caramel and cocoa powder. There is a subtle earthiness underneath—neither fruity nor particularly funky, but grounded and inviting. The aromatic profile is approachable and layered rather than aggressive.

◐ Taste

The palate enters smooth and medium-bodied, delivering rich coffee and chocolate flavors in the mid-section without heaviness or cloy. Roasted malt provides backbone, while a restrained bitterness (25 IBU) sits comfortably in the background. The finish leans toward the dry side, preventing any sweetness from lingering.

◑ Finish

The aftertaste is dry and relatively short, with roasted grain notes fading into a subtle cocoa dryness on the palate. No stickiness or clinging sweetness remains.

Serve at 10–13°C. Too cold mutes the roasted complexity that makes a good porter worth drinking slowly.
