Butterley

Tap to rate

Butterley is a pale copper Yorkshire bitter that began at the Riverhead brewpub in Marsden and later moved into the main brewery's range. It is made entirely from English ingredients: extra pale and crystal malt with Challenger hops. Sweet malt, honey and a little caramel come first, followed by a moderately bitter, dry finish; the hop aroma is delicate, floral and lightly spicy. In May 2025 the strength was reduced from 3.8 to 3.4 per cent, which keeps the beer light and easy to drink.
