ZAP! Pink Lemonade Sour

◎ Appearance

Pale pink haze dominates the glass, a direct result of the guava and lemon adjuncts working through the base sour IPA. The cloudiness sits as a fine suspension through Hefepilz character rather than settling, giving an almost luminous quality to the pour. Head retention is moderate; carbonation appears brisk and well-integrated.

◌ Aroma

Lemon zest leads the charge on the nose, sharp and immediately present, followed by tropical guava notes that add a stone-fruit sweetness underneath. Noble hop character—restrained but recognizable—provides a herbaceous backbone without dominating. The combination reads as tart fruit-forward rather than hop-centric, with a clean, slightly tart fermentation note completing the bouquet.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with a bright citrus-sour punch that puckers immediately, the lemon and guava working in tandem to establish tartness before the body has a chance to settle. Mid-palate stays lean and dry despite the fruit sweetness, hinting at underlying hop bitterness that adds structure without aggression. The finish is brisk and clean, dry acidity cutting through any residual sweetness with precision.

Crisp and short, the tartness lingers on the cheeks and gums with a pleasant drying sensation. Aftertaste is clean and fruit-driven, with no harsh or lingering bitterness—just a whisper of lemon and a fading guava note.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.
