Black Magic

Tap to rate

Full malt and complex roasty flavour fill this jet-black imperial stout of 10%. Twelve malts and no adjuncts go in; the strength comes from a six-hour boil, which also gives the thick mouthfeel. Hops are Northern Brewer and Columbus. The 2026 Special Edition came from long brew days at the Muifelbrouwerij.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with deep roasted malt sweetness balanced by moderate bitter bite. Mid-palate develops rich chocolate and coffee notes, the six-hour boil delivering a full, creamy body that coats the mouth. The 10% ABV sits integrated but present, warming rather than burning, while the 45 IBU provides clean bitter closure without harshness.
