Sonic Prayer presents a hazy deep amber pour with substantial cloudiness throughout, indicating dry-hopped character and yeast suspension. The head retention is firm and persistent, with good lacing adhesion to the glass walls. Carbonation appears moderate to brisk, supporting the full body without excessive effervescence.

◌ Aroma

The nose delivers a layered citrus and stone fruit presentation, opening with bright lemon and grapefruit notes backed by ripe peach and passionfruit complexity. A firm piney, resinous character emerges underneath the fruit-forward profile, typical of New World hop expression. The underlying Malz foundation provides subtle sweetness that anchors the assertive aromatic profile without competing.

◐ Taste

The palate entry is clean and moderately bitter, with the citrus character transitioning from aroma into distinct grapefruit and lemon flavors. Mid-palate reveals peach and passionfruit notes alongside a solid Malz backbone that provides body and slight sweetness. The bitter finish builds progressively, with piney and resinous hop compounds asserting themselves without harsh edge, creating a lingering dry conclusion.

The finish is firm and assertive, with hoppy bitterness lingering distinctly on the palate and extending through the aftertaste. Dryness increases with each sip, though the underlying Malz sweetness prevents any acrid character from developing.

Serve well-chilled. Session IPAs are at their best cold — the lower ABV means less warmth to balance the hops.
