Tap to rate

With a sweeter, gently bready taste and a pleasantly bitter hop finish. The name goes to Přemysl Otakar II, fifth Bohemian king of the Přemyslid dynasty, who founded the town of Polička in 1265 on the trade route linking Prague with the Moravian centres. A light 11° lager, fermented and lagered cold for at least five weeks in rock cellars, unpasteurised and microfiltered.

◐ Taste

Entry is smooth and approachable, with a pronounced sweetness from the malt base giving way to light, slightly spicy breadiness across the mid-palate. A gentle but distinct hop bitterness emerges cleanly in the center, finishing with a crisp, pleasantly dry quality that prevents cloying. The balance favors malt softness while hops provide clear definition.
