Tap to rate

A Belgian-style wheat beer reimagined as a light session IPA at 4.5 % ABV: yeast-fruity, exotically hop-fruity, snappily lightly bitter and rather dry, with a nice malty body for a light beer. Pale and unfiltered, with Krush hops, Vienna and Munich malt and pale wheat malt from an 11.0° Plato wort. Since April 2025 on tap at the brewery on Wednesday evenings, as long as it lasts.

◎ Appearance

Pale golden to straw yellow, with the characteristic haze of an unfiltered wheat beer. A dense, pillowy white head forms quickly and clings persistently to the glass, leaving thick bands of lacing with each sip. Fine carbonation rises steadily, creating an inviting, lively presentation.

◌ Aroma

The nose combines Belgian yeast phenolics with bright citrus and exotic fruit character from the Krush hops. Wheat and Vienna malt provide a soft, grainy foundation beneath notes of white pepper, clove, and candied orange. The overall impression is refreshingly fruity without heaviness—a pleasant balance between fermentation character and hop expression.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with crisp, fruity sweetness from the wheat malt and Belgian yeast, immediately followed by a snap of clean bitterness from the Krush hops. Mid-palate reveals a pleasant malty body—fuller than expected for a 4.5% ABV beer—with subtle notes of honey and stone fruit before a dry, herbaceous finish takes hold. The bitterness is snappy but never harsh, fading into a clean, mineral dryness.

◑ Finish

The finish is clean and moderately dry, with the hop bitterness lingering pleasantly for several seconds. A faint mineral astringency and hint of wheat grain persist on the palate, inviting another sip without fatigue.
